He says a new Russian mobilization would give Ukrainian forces more targets. It would also spread the war to more Russian families at home. That pushes Russia toward a collapse like 1991, he believes. Putin is repeating Hitler’s path. He believes his own propaganda and refuses reality. He is willing to destroy his own country rather than face it. Sampson expects Russia’s defeat and sees little chance it can recover within 10 to 20 years.

On a possible new Russian front, Sampson says Moscow likely wants one but cannot mount a real threat. He points to corruption in Russian logistics and command and to the quality of Ukrainian intelligence. He does not foresee a war with NATO.

Sampson says he is returning to the front in the coming days, most likely the Zaporizhzhia region.
